1. What is Seedgrade?

Seedgrade is a professional OpenFX plug-in for DaVinci Resolve that adds advanced color tools, creative presets, and LUT workflows to streamline grading projects.

2. Which versions of DaVinci Resolve are supported?

Seedgrade supports DaVinci Resolve Studio 18.5 and later on macOS. Earlier versions may run but are not officially supported.

3. How do I install the plug-in?

Run the installer for your platform and follow the prompts. After installation, restart DaVinci Resolve and look for Seedgrade under the OpenFX list.

4. How do I activate my license?

The Account panel handles offline activation for your Seedgrade license. To unlock the full version, copy your Unique ID from this panel and visit your Seedgrade.io profile page. After signing in on the website, generate an Activation Key for this workstation. Return to Seedgrade, paste the key into the Activation Key field, and click Authenticate. Once activated, Seedgrade immediately switches out of Demo Mode and all feature limits are removed. The Account panel then hides automatically, keeping your workspace clean. Use this workflow whenever you need to authorize a new workstation or refresh a license offline.

5. How many devices can I activate?

Each license includes a fixed number of seats (typically two) that you can assign to your own machines. Contact support if you need more seats or a reset.

6. What happens if I replace my computer?

Please contact support at support@seedgrade.io to deactivate your current seat/seats and get a replacement.

7. Where are my presets and LUT preferences stored?

Seedgrade keeps presets, LUT exports, and preference files in your operating system's application-support folder (e.g., `~/Library/Application Support/Seedgrade` on macOS). Back up that folder if you want to migrate settings between machines.

8. Does Seedgrade send my footage or presets to the cloud?

No. Video frames, presets, and LUT files stay on your computer unless you choose to export or share them. Only minimal licensing information (account credentials, seat usage, etc.) is transmitted over HTTPS to our secure servers.

9. Can I use Seedgrade offline?

Yes, always.

10. What support options are available?

11. Are updates free?

Updates are always free, as long as you have an active subscription

12. How do I uninstall the plug-in?

Use your operating system's standard uninstall process (remove the macOS .ofx bundle). You can also delete the Seedgrade application-support folder if you want to remove presets and cached sign-in data.

13. What if I forget my password?

Click "Forgot Password" on the Seedgrade customer portal at www.seedgrade.io or contact support. Once you reset your password, sign back with the new credentials.

14. Do you offer studio or enterprise licensing?
